With the constant changes in New York’s gambling scene, the gaming industry will be holding its fourth annual summit at Verona’s Turning Stone Casino Resort on June 21st and 22nd.

New York has experienced many gambling changes since last year’s summit. Changes include the addition of gaming floors at Batavia Downs and Monticello Raceway.

Raceways were given the green light on VLTs, Virtual Lottery Terminals, which are similar to slot machines, regulated by the New York Lottery.

New York’s highest state court ruled that the racetracks could share revenues from VLTs with horse owners and jockeys. Racetracks will also be able to keep a higher percentage of their gambling revenues, and will have a dedicated marketing fund. Two sessions are slated to discuss the issues related to the recent rulings, "Legal and Regulatory Update," and "Racing & Gaming in New York."

A session called "The Catskills Casino Question" will discuss Governor Pataki’s interest in increasing the number of proposed Casinos in the Catskills to five instead of three.

In addition, all participants in the summit will be given a special tour of Standing Stone Gaming's Oneida II Account-Based Solution at Turning Stone Casino, and this year will see a return of the New York Gaming Golf Challenge.
